For those of you that know, yes I am borrowing the name of a now defunct line of action figures. For those that don't know, Legendary Comic Book Heroes was a line produced by Toy Biz/Marvel Toys in 2007/2008 that showcased non DC/Marvel comic characters (mainly focusing on Image/Top Cow & Dark Horse). I did greatly enjoy this line while it was around, but felt there were some more appropriate choices that could have been made than what was produced. So this series, in essence, is what I would have done. What more than likely killed the action figure line, was the over abundance of Judge Death from Judge Dredd and not enough Witchblades or Marvs or Madmans on the shelves. I never did get my LCBH's Marv, but maybe one day when at a comic convention... Anyways, hope everyone enjoys the LCBH line as it comes out (in the future as well!!)...

So last year I sort of created my own little tradition of coming up with a theme for my Cubees of the summer months... Last summer it was all Green Lantern, all summer long... This summer, it's going to be Muppets!! I already have the characters picked, drawn, and ready from the Muppet Show, Classic Sesame Street, and Fraggle Rock (as well as a couple of characters from another Henson project from a while back!!). The majority of the characters are older characters with the exception of 2... One because he happens to be a favorite of mine from his Long John Silver's mascot days... And the other because to me he is still a classic character even though he came later on!! So hopefully this'll be good news to you all, and the 13 weeks of summer starting the first week of June will be most enjoyable...

Also.. A quick note about the Villains line of Cubees.... The line consists of villains from TMNT, Thundercats, and mostly DC Comics (excluding, of course, GL). You will see other villain characters from other lines included in their own line when they come about...

And final note for those requesting Cubees: If it's a single Cubee and not a set, I will be able to get to that ASAP (that is when I start working again in June... And yes, I still remember I have the Little Mermaid to do... ). If you're looking for a grouping of Cubees (like a cast of characters from a comic, movie, or tv show), it will take me quite a while to get to it since I do have Cubees scheduled up through 2011!! Silver Banshee is coming as well, but she is part of the Villains line as that was what she was originally asked as an idea for... So I do remember the ones I do have requested, just may take a while... It never hurts to ask, though!!

So I was trying to think of unused DC Comics sidekicks from either tv or movies that never made it into the comics (outside of tie-ins to said movie or tv series)... So far I've come up with:

Julio Mendez (The Flash Series from 90/91)
and
Kairo (From the Filmation Green Lantern cartoons)

So far, I have 2 of these characters set up for Cubees, and plan on making the third here shortly... Can any one think of any others from DC?

The last 3 weeks of March are devoted to some of the supporting characters in the Super/Bat Universes, and is why most of the month of March is DC month... I came up with a list of Marvel characters to make, some of which were previously done... But oh well!! These are my versions!! I will be doing more Marvel in the future, just not nearly as much as DC... I also have a special set of Blade Cubees planned for October... So Stay tuned!!!!

I decided to go back and update a bunch of my older Cubees. Since I usually make long hair look a certain way for the females, I updated the old ones to reflect that. I also changed some coloring on a few, and added an accessory. For those that have me under their watch section, I felt these updates enhanced these Cubees, and most just involve a head switch if you choose to do the update!! March's schedule coming later today!!

So apparently we're not allowed now to put Cubees in the cubeecraft category unless they're constructed... Ummm... Okay.... THAT makes A LOT of sense... In truth, they may as well just delete the category if they're going to put such retarded restrictions on it. I suppose next, we won't be able to put illustrations under illustrations and will instead need to put them under scraps or something equally stupid.

On a related note (to Cubees, that is...), are there any DC heroes that any one would like to see in Cubee form? I will probably stay away from the Legion or the Challengers of the Unknown.. And I may already have plans for some that would be listed... But if you have any ideas, send them my way!!

The next 3 weeks are going to be devoted to the Kid's show, Yo Gabba Gabba! that my young son LOOOOVES to watch... The third week in this will be devoted to the co-creator, Christian Jacobson's band the Aquabats!! Week 4 will be Robot Chicken week, so I will finally have the Mad Scientist and Robot Chicken out there for those who have been awaiting it... Plus a couple other surprises... I will reveal my next plans as I get closer to them... Remember... There's one more GL-esque related Cubee update coming this weekend... And don't think I'll be abandoning this forever... I've already started a list of more Lantern Cubees to do some time down the road.. Including everyone's favorite rage kitty Dex-starr!!

The next two weeks after this, I'll be doing a filler week that is Green Lantern related, which will basically be me re-using old Cubee heads and bodies to create a new Cubee, and the following week is still slightly Green Lantern related, but with a twist!! So stay tuned!!

So I think I am going to go ahead and make a list of cubees I want to make in the future... Now, keep in mind that I haven't built many cubees since the year began due to helping out a different department at my job, so once I am back doing my regular job, I'll probably spend a month or two catching up on those before starting my own again. BUT, this list will help me to remember which characters I want to one day do... Also keep in mind this is a list of characters I want to do in cubee form... So if someone else does the character, and it's the same version I wanted to do(example: the tv cubee site already did the Flash from the CBS tv series, as well as the Bart Allen/Impulse version from Smallville, but I did my own to do a comic version instead of a based on tv version) then I will take the character off the list since they're already done and there would be no need to repeat. That being said, if there's a John Stewart GL in the future and it looks like the cartoon version, I'm still gonna do my own... If I deem the character too difficult, then I may take them off the list as well, though there shouldn't be too many of those!!
