Julius Schwartz in Cubee form. Julius was the man behind the creation of such characters as Hal Jordan, Barry Allen, Ray Palmer, Barbara Gordon, and others. He not only revived the superhero genre in comics, he also brought science fiction (before working at DC he edited stories for scifi authors such as Ray Bradbury) into comics!! Both of these achievements happened before Stan Lee and Marvel decided to take notice of what was going on at DC at the time and borrow from their example. While Stan Lee did do his part to help, Julius was first on a lot of the things Mr. Lee says he was the first to do in comics. And as a side note, "use the Schwartz" was used in honor of him and his scifi achievements.
